Note : As per the RPwD Rules 2017, disability certificate/ UDID card can be issued by notified hospital at home district as well as the hospital where the PwD is taking medical treatment in connection with his/her disability.

DDRC Mumbai

District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) Mumbai is dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities by ensuring they receive their rightful benefits and complete access to government schemes designed for their welfare.

Established under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, DDRC Mumbai provides comprehensive rehabilitation services including UDID registration assistance, disability certification support, skill development programs, and access to various welfare schemes.

Our Objectives

Provide assistive devices and equipment to persons with disabilities through 5% disability fund, government schemes, NGOs, and CSR initiatives.

●

Organize camps and events to help certificate holders access government scheme benefits including insurance, pension, ST/Railway passes, and other entitlements.

●

Facilitate Swavlamban Card distribution to all eligible persons with disabilities.

●

Achieve 100% registration of all persons with disabilities in the district and make the data available online.

●

Conduct medical examinations and issue disability certificates to beneficiaries who don't have them.

●

Provide referral services and treatment facilities through various government schemes for those requiring further medical care after examination.

●
